It was the "official" function to start off the construction of our house at Pride Vatika Layout in BannerGhatta-Anekal road. We started from JP Nagar around 6:00 in the morning, took our priest near Sai Baba temple in JP Nagar and reached the site by 7:00 AM.
Ashok and Vasudha brought some bricks for the Pooja and the priest started with the formalities for the pooja.
Although, I thought the pooja to be in quick Bangalore style, the priest looked to be performing it in typical bhoomi pooja style compleeting all formalities.
We completed the Pooja by 9:00 and returned back to home.

Picnic to Bannerghatta Butterfly park
From long time we wanted to go to the butterfly park near the Bannerghatta national park thinking that it might be of special interest to my son. Finally got time in this February to visit it along with Bannerghatta zoo.
The butterfly park was indeed a park, but the area where butterflies existed was not that bigger then I thought initially. However, you will get to see several varieties of butterflies flying over there. The butterflies where kept under a glashouse garden which was asthetically designed. There is an butterfly museam which show cases different varieties of insects and butterflies.
There is enough place to sit and relax outiside the galss house in the park.
Evening in Ottinene Gudde
Last February, after several hearings from my wife on not taking her till now, I decided to go to Ottinene Gudde a small hill on the seashore near Byndoor. Since it was hardly 4 KM from Uppunda, it did not take much time to reach there. One need to take turn in the road near the Raghavendra Temple which goes towards sea.
Halfway through that road we stopped to see the beautiful sea from top view. It was an excellent view of river joining the sea(Alive). We took some time to have Forest fruits (Kiskara Hannu) before proceeding further.
Once we reached the dead end, we parked our car there and went down the steps. It was bit isolated with hardly 2-3 other small groups around. Although they built some guest house etc. there was not much tourism development, considering the beauty of the place.
Once you go down and reach halfway, there is a road from where you get beautiful view of sunset. I took some time to take some snaps of the sun. You could even go further down and enjoy on the seashore and on the rocks. However, it might not be that safe place to go much forward in the sea, as this is near to the place where river & sea join which is normally considered as unsafe.
Family freind!
Last summer a tiny squirrel fell down accidentally to our well at Uppunda. Somehow my father noticed it and could bring it up from the well using kodapana. He then gave it some milk and rusk and put him up on the trees.
Then onwards it became a good freind of my father. My father used to call it daily evening for milk and rusk near the tree where he left it and voila!. It used to come from no where. It was so freindly that it used come freely on my father body to drink milk. Myself and my young son tried to go near and it ran away seeing the strangers!
It was coming to eat for several days until it grewup and now a days I dont see it coming.
